GAIN Capital (NYSE:GCAP) has made an internal promotion to its executive team, elevating Rekhender Dhawan to the role of Vice President - Head of Trading Platforms Development with immediate effect.

Mr. Dhawan has been a mainstay at GAIN Capital for nearly a decade, having originally joined the US broker as a Senior Software Developer. For the bulk of his time at GAIN Capital, he worked in this role, where he was responsible for developing the company’s flagship desktop trading platforms as well as handling the full latitude of GAIN’s software suite.

Since then, he was also promoted to the role of Director of Application Development back in 2012, which saw the expansion of his day-to-day responsibilities and oversight. This culminated in the command of all Forex .com client 'trading application product portfolios', which included desktop trading applications (FOREXTrader PRO), web trading platforms (Silverlight), and all backend API.

His ascension to the role of Head of Trading Platforms Development represents his second promotion at GAIN but also a change of scenery as he will be based out of the broker’s London office following a lengthy tenure in the group’s NJ headquarters in Bedminster, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.

The promotion of Mr. Dhawan is the second by the broker this month, after GAIN appointed Samantha Roady to the role of president of the its retail group. Ms. Roady worked at GAIN Capital previously for almost ten years, after originally joining back in 1999.
